Construction Work Volume Increased in Moldova

The volume of construction work in the first quarter of 2025 in Moldova increased by 18.7% (in comparable prices) compared to the same period last year.

According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the bulk of this growth was driven by capital repairs — up by 59.7%. In new construction, contracted work grew by 10%; technical maintenance and current repairs rose by 8.6%; and other construction activities (demolition, land preparation, etc.) increased by 17.8%.

In terms of construction types, the most active growth was seen in non-residential buildings (a 45.6% increase in comparable prices) and infrastructure projects (+18.9%).
