Waterproofing mortar for concrete Planiseal 88 Mapei

Planiseal 88 Mapei waterproofing mortar is a one-component osmotic cement-based compound designed to create a rigid and durable waterproof layer on concrete or plastered surfaces. The material effectively protects structures from water penetration under pressure up to 1 atm, both from the positive and negative sides. Due to its chemical composition, it is suitable for permanent contact with drinking water, making it an ideal solution for tanks, foundations, basements, retaining walls, and hydraulic structures.

The waterproofing mortar Planiseal 88 Mapei is applied to well-cured concrete or plaster surfaces that are not prone to shrinkage cracks. It can be easily applied using a brush or spray (shotcrete) method, forming a watertight coating 2–3 mm thick in two to three layers. The average consumption is about 1.5 kg/m² per millimeter of thickness. The product is characterized by stability, ease of application, and a shelf life of up to 12 months.
