Acrylic additive Mapescreed 704 Mapei is a modern plasticizer based on acrylic polymers and free from formaldehyde. It reduces the water-to-cement ratio and improves the workability of the mix, ensuring a dense and durable screed structure. With the use of this additive, the mixture becomes more plastic and homogeneous, while the risk of pores and cracks is significantly reduced.

The product is ideal for preparing cement screeds incorporating heating or cooling systems with circulating heat-transfer fluid. The use of Mapescreed 704 increases thermal conductivity, accelerates drying, and allows the heating system to be started after only 15 days. Screeds prepared with this additive feature high strength, stability, and resistance to deformation, making them a reliable base for installing ceramic tiles, natural stone, parquet, and other floor coverings.

Mapescreed 704 is a water-based acrylic dispersion developed in the MAPEI laboratories. It is added in a proportion of 1–1.5% of the cement weight (approximately 1–1.5 kg per 100 kg of cement). When used correctly, the additive accelerates strength development, enhances the mechanical performance of the screed, and ensures optimal thermal conductivity. Supplied in 10 kg containers.
